Probiosis removes heat from the GI tract and reduces intestinal inflammation by suppressing and inhibiting the growth of pathogenic bacteria, fungi, or virus in the gut. Toxins secreted by pathogenic microbes can irritate the gastrointestinal lining and disrupt its structure allowing germs and food allergens to enter into the blood stream and cause food allergies, constipation or diarrhea, and liver inflammation. Patients may initially experience diarrhea as toxins are expelled from the gut.
1. Food Poisoning and Pathogenic Microbial Infection
Food poisoning can be caused by ingesting food that is contaminated with pathogenic microorganisms. Symptoms range from mild stomach and intestinal discomfort to severe dehydration and bloody diarrhea. Probiosis suppresses further growth of the pathogenic microorganisms in the gut and reduces gut inflammation caused by toxin overload.
Patients can experience symptom improvement with 1 day of treatment. 1 week of treatment is required for significant improvement and sustained results.
2. GI Tract Inflammation and Infections
Pathogenic microbial infection of the stomach, small intestine, and large intestine can cause inflammation of the gastrointestinal lining. Symptoms include bloating, gas, poor digestion, irregular bowel movements, and ammonia smelling stools. Probiosis clears infection and resolves the associated symptoms.
Patients may initially experience diarrhea as toxins are expelled from the gut followed with symptom improvement. 1-2 weeks of treatment is required for significant improvement with sustained results.
3. Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO)
Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) is a condition in which bacteria normally found in the colon proliferate in large numbers in the small intestine. SIBO can cause IBS. Studies show that 84% of IBS patients have SIBO and 66% of children with IBS have SIBO. Toxic mycotoxins produced by bacteria in the small intestine can irritate the enteric nervous system causing malfunctioning of the enteric nerves. Probiosis suppresses bacterial growth and reduces the bacterial population in the small intestine to help resolve SIBO and eliminate IBS symptoms. Luna is also recommended to nurture the enteric nervous system to help it regain the normal functionality.
Patients can experience symptom improvement in 1-3 days. 2-4 weeks of treatment is required to have significant improvement and sustained results. If patients have severe bacterial infections, PA is required to clear the infection. Whitehead may also be required to reduce bacterial population in the colon.
