Cirrhonin is also required if there is liver scarring.
1. Bile Duct Parasite Infection and Intestinal Ascariasis
Paramin helps expel bile duct parasites such as liver fluke, by anesthetizing the parasites, increasing contractions and bile production, and relaxing the Sphincter of Oddi. Bile duct parasites can cause severe damage to the liver. However, patients may not have symptoms in the early stages when the eggs are hatching, growing, and reproducing. When symptoms emerge, they include acute or chronic stomach pain especially in the upper right quadrant of the abdomen, abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea or vomiting, gas or bloating, loose stools containing blood and mucus, rash or itching around the rectum or vulva, fatigue, and weight loss. Parasites also release neurotoxins that can cause emotional and behavioral problems.
