Formula U nurtures the Yin and Yang of the uterus. It helps rejuvenate the uterus and nurtures the structure of the uterus through targeting the muscles and ligaments that help maintain the position of the uterus in the pelvis. Qi Booster may also be required to boost the Qi and help enhance blood supply to the uterine supporting structures.
1. Uterine Prolapse and Loss of Elasticity
The position of the uterus is supported by several muscles and ligaments in the pelvis. The weakening of the supporting structures can cause uterine prolapse in which the uterus drops into the vaginal canal. Patients may have feelings of pressure or heaviness in the pelvis, bulging sensation in the vagina, difficulty urinating, pain during sexual intercourse, and vaginal bleeding. Hormonal changes during menopause with declining estrogen levels can weaken the supporting muscles and connective tissues. Loss of elasticity where the uterine tissue loses its ability to stretch and return to its original shape can also occur during menopause leading to pelvic organ prolapse. Other contributing factors include childbirth, heavy lifting, and chronic straining during bowel movements.
Formula U nurtures the structure of the uterus and the muscles and ligaments in the pelvis to help the uterus resume its normal position and relieve the pressure to the pelvic floor and vagina. Qi Booster may also be required to help enhance the blood supply to the supporting structures.
Patients can experience symptom improvement in 1-2 weeks. 3-6 months is recommended to help improve the structure of the uterus and the supporting muscles and ligaments.
