ClearLung (NOW CL) helps reduce inflammation and pro-inflammatory cytokines in the bronchial
tubes and air sacs caused by infections or other irritants.
1. Persistent Cough and Phlegm from Cold or Flu
Persistent or severe cough with or without phlegm due to cold or flu can be caused by over production of proinflammatory
cytokines in the lungs. Patients may still have a persistent cough even after the cold or flu is
gone. ClearLung helps clear excessive pro-inflammatory cytokines and reduce lung inflammation. Patients
can have symptom improvement with 3 to 7 days of treatment.
2. Acute Bronchitis
Acute bronchitis is an inflammation of the bronchial tubes. The most common cause of acute bronchitis is a
viral or bacterial infection, but other causes may include irritants like tobacco smoke, air pollution, or
chemicals. The primary symptom of acute bronchitis is a dry, hacking cough that may produce mucous after
a few days. Other symptoms include wheezing, shortness of breath, fever, and discomfort in the chest.
ClearLung helps reduce bronchial inflammation. Patients can experience symptom improvement in 1-3 days.
Mild or moderate conditions require 3 days to 2 weeks of treatment, and 2-4 weeks is required for severe
conditions. Following the heat removal treatment with ClearLung, Soup A and LC Balancer may also be
required to repair any structural damage to the bronchi after the inflammation is gone. Other formulas such
as LC Balancer, Brown, Bitter, and Qi Booster may be required to help clear the virus infection. Antibiotic
treatment may be required for bacterial infections.
3. Pneumonia
Pneumonia is an infection that inflames the air sacs in one or both lungs. Symptoms include coughing, fever,
and difficulty breathing. ClearLung helps reduce lung inflammation. Patients can experience symptom
improvement in 1-3 days. Mild or moderate conditions require 3 days to 2 weeks of treatment, and 2-4 weeks
is required for severe conditions. Other formulas such as LC Balancer, Brown, Bitter, and Qi Booster may be
required to help clear the virus infection. Antibiotic treatment may be required for bacterial infections.
Following the heat removal treatment with ClearLung, Soup A and LC Balancer may also be required to repair
any structural damage to the air sacs after the inflammation is gone.
4. Bronchiectasis
Bronchiectasis is a condition in which the bronchial tubes become dilated and form small “pockets” in the walls
of the tubes. Mucous can buildup and bacteria can grow in the “pockets”. Symptoms include shortness of
breath, wheezing, chest pain, nail clubbing, difficult breathing when lying down, and chronic cough with large
amounts of sputum that may be foul smelling, yellow or green mucous and pus. The most common cause of
the condition is mycobacterial infections. Recommended treatment includes ClearLung, Jade, Java and
NewBase together with Soup A, Soup B, and LC Balancer. Patients should experience symptom improvement
in 3-4 weeks. After the infection is cleared, 2-4 months Soup A, Soup B, and LC Balancer is required to repair
lung damage.
5. Mycoplasma, Chlamydophila and Mycobacterial Infection
Atypical bacteria that usually infects the respiratory tract include Mycoplasma pneumoniae and Chlamydophila
pneumoniae. Mycobacteria lack a peptidoglycan cell wall which renders antibiotics that target bacterial cell
wall synthesis ineffective. Mycoplasma pneumoniae acts in a parasitic nature. The bacterium gets into the
respiratory tract and attaches to the epithelium for nutritional support. It also mimics the epithelia’s cell
membrane in order to avoid the body’s immune response. Symptoms include chills, fever, chronic cough with
or without mucus, and shortness of breath. In contrast to Mycoplasma, Chlamydophila pneumoniae behaves
like a virus. C. pneumoniae can be engulfed into the lung cells and live in the intracellular space where it
replicates using some of the host’s cellular machinery. When the lung cells rupture, the bacteria die and are
released to begin infecting other cells. Symptoms of C. pneumoniae infection include chronic cough,
bronchitis, pneumonia, sore throat, laryngitis, ear infection, and sinusitis.
Treatment for mycobacterial lung
infections includes ClearLung, Jade, Java, and NewBase. ClearLung helps clear the inflammation, Jade helps
enhance Lung Qi and its immune function, Java helps improve lymphatic circulation and clear damp, and
NewBase helps remove kidney deficiency heat.
Patients can experience symptom improvement in 3 days,
and 3-4 weeks of treatment is required for significant improvement and sustained results.
