CL-2 helps clear damp heat toxins in the lung. It helps clear respiratory tract infections by the gram-negative bacteria. Respiratory tract mycobacteria co-infection is very common and Java, Jade, CL (ClearLung) and NewBase are also recommended.

1. Respiratory Tract Gram-negative Bacterial Infections
Infection of the respiratory tract by the mycobacteria can suppress the host immune system and patients are prone to infections by other types of bacteria including the gram-negative bacteria. They lack a typical cell wall structure and antibiotics that targets bacterial cell wall synthesis are not effective. Mycobacteria can suppress the growth of gram negative bacteria which are not actively reproducing and antibiotics that target bacteria protein and DNA synthesis are not effective. The infections can cause irritation to the respiratory tract. They can also become the harbor of mycobacteria which will be periodically released when the bacteria dies causing damage to the respiratory tract. Symptoms include chronic cough, phlegm production, post-nasal drip and sinus congestion. CL-2 helps clear the infection. Patients can experience symptom improvement with 3 – 7 days of treatment. 2-3 weeks of treatment is required. If the symptom improvement plateaus, the patient may have other types of infections such as mycobacteria and Java, Jade, CL (ClearLung) and NewBase are recommended.
