Brown nurtures liver Yin. It helps improve liver health and repairs liver damage. LC Balancer is required to
enhance microcirculation. Xcel is required if the patient has poorly functioning kidneys. Qi Booster is required
if patient has poor heart and lung functions.
1. Stress and Related Symptoms
Physical or mental stress can cause reduced blood flow from the hepatic artery to the liver. The liver receives
one-third of its blood supply from the hepatic artery which is oxygenated blood and two-thirds of its blood
supply from the hepatic portal vein which is deoxygenated blood. When blood flow from the hepatic artery is
reduced, oxygen supply is greatly diminished. This condition can cause a high level of reactive oxygen species
(ROS) and the resulting elevated free radical levels can cause liver damage. Symptoms include anxiety,
insomnia, headache, migraine, nausea, abdominal fullness, dizziness, mood swings, bad temper, blurred
vision, hand tremor, or drowsiness. Brown and LC Balancer helps improve liver’s blood flow from the hepatic
artery and reduce stress related symptoms. Patients can experience symptom reduction in 1 day. 1-2 weeks
of treatment is required to eliminate the symptoms with sustained results. Patients can experience an increase
in stress tolerance after the treatment.
2. Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD)
Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) encompasses a spectrum of conditions from fat and triglyceride
accumulation in hepatocytes to steatohepatitis with inflammation, fibrosis, and cirrhosis. The progression of
NAFLD involves “two-hits”. The “first hit” is the deposition of triglycerides in the hepatocyte. It does not
progress until the “second hit” which involves bacterial toxins or reactive oxygen species (ROS) resulting in
inflammation, cell death, and fibrosis.
a) Fatty Liver
Fatty liver is characterized by an excess fat buildup especially triglycerides in liver cells. The liver is one of the
major organs that synthesizes triglycerides. Triglycerides are used as an energy source. The liver also
synthesizes cholesterol which is used for bile, Vitamin D, hormone production and cell membrane support.
Their synthesis is under feedback regulation. Malnutrition, especially choline deficiency and high fructose
corn syrup, upregulates the synthesis of cellular lipids resulting in excess fat deposits. Brown and LC
Balancer nurture the liver and helps the liver clear out the excessive fat deposits and down regulate liver’s fat
synthesis activities. Depending on the severity of the condition, 3-6 weeks of Brown and LC Balancer is
required. A diet that is rich in choline and low in sugar is recommended to prevent future development of the
condition. If the patient is craving sweets, Weisslim is recommended which helps normalize their eating habits
and eliminate cravings.
b) Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH)
Fatty liver disease can develop into liver inflammation (steatohepatitis) with an increase in pro-inflammatory
cytokines when the liver gets the “second hit” from the increased reactive oxygen species (ROS) caused by a
stress induced reduction in blood flow from the hepatic artery and/or bacterial endotoxins or mycotoxins which
is generated from intestinal bacterial infections or small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) and are carried
to the liver through the hepatic portal circulation. Symptoms include fatigue, weight loss, nausea, loss of
appetite, pain in the upper right quadrant of the abdomen, burning or stabbing pain of the skin, spider veins,
and insomnia. Brown and LC Balancer nurtures the liver and improve the liver’s blood flow from the hepatic
artery, increases production of glutathione to clear the ROS and repair liver damage. Levera is also required
to reduce liver inflammation and clear pro-inflammatory cytokines. Depending on the severity of the condition,
3-6 weeks of treatment is required. If patients have intestinal bacterial infections or small intestinal bacterial
overgrowth (SIBO), Probiosis, PA and/or Silver are also required.
c) Liver Fibrosis
Liver inflammation can trigger the production of a wide array of cytokines and chemokines which enhance
liver cell proliferation and collagen secretion in the extracellular matrix. High amounts of collagen deposits in
the extracellular spaces can result is hardening of the liver, loss of blood infusion to the liver cells, and
subsequent development of liver fibrosis. Patients with liver fibrosis may be asymptomatic. However, liver
fibrosis can cause portal vein hypertension resulting in ascites, stomach varices, esophageal varices, and
gastrointestinal bleeding. It can also cause enlargement of the spleen which can lead to a higher turnover rate
and the destruction of platelets and other blood cells. Symptoms that can manifest from an enlarged spleen
include bruising easily and difficulty healing from injuries. Brown, LC Balancer, and Cirrhonin nurture the
liver and help decompose the fibrotic tissues. Levera is also required if patients also have symptoms
of liver inflammation. Patients should experience symptom improvement with 2 weeks of treatment. 6
weeks to 3 months of treatment may be required for significant improvement.
d) Cirrhosis
In liver fibrosis, the liver cells and general liver structure are still intact. When it progresses to cirrhosis, the
liver's fundamental structure is deformed, and the framework begins to collapse causing the liver cells to be
replaced by fibrotic tissue. Patients may experience symptoms of fatigue, poor appetite, weight loss, or
nausea. As liver function worsens, symptoms may include debilitating fatigue, loss of appetite, weight loss or
sudden weight gain, fluid buildup in the abdomen (ascites), swelling in the legs or ankles, fluid retention, itchy
skin, stabbing or burning pain of the skin, yellowed skin or eyes (jaundice), bruises, bruising easily, abnormal
bleeding, spider veins, pale or clay-colored stools, blood in stool, confusion, disorientation, personality
changes, and fever. Brown, LC Balancer, Levera, and Cirrhonin help decompose the scar tissue, repair liver
damage and reduce liver inflammation. Patients should experience symptom improvement in 2 weeks. 3
months of treatment may be required for significant improvement with sustained results. Gold and Qi Booster
may also be required to assist the liver in breaking down the hardened tissue and clear the cell debris.
3. Hepatitis B and C
Hepatitis B is a liver infection caused by the Hepatitis B virus. The Hepatitis B virus replicates within the
hepatocytes causing irritation, inflammation and malfunctioning of the liver. It can be transmitted if an
uninfected individual comes into contact with an infected individual’s bodily fluids or blood. Common symptoms
include fatigue, nausea loss of appetite, jaundice, abdominal pain, dark urine or fever. Hepatitis B can be
either acute or chronic. Some individuals fight off the infection within several months and become immune to
the Hepatitis B virus. For other individuals, however, the infection becomes chronic and can cause liver
scarring and liver cirrhosis since the liver is overtaken by the virus and is unable to function properly. Hepatitis
C is a liver infection caused by the Hepatitis C virus. The Hepatitis C virus also replicates within the
hepatocytes but can also replicate in immune cells such as monocytes and lymphocytes. Similar to Hepatitis
B, Hepatitis C can be transmitted if an uninfected individual comes into contact with an infected individual’s
bodily fluids or blood, and symptoms are the same as those of Hepatitis B. Hepatitis C, by contrast, tends to
be chronic. Some individuals fight off the infection, and the condition resolves on its own; however, the vast
majority of infected individuals become chronic. Overtime, patients can develop liver cirrhosis or liver cancer.
Brown and LC Balancer helps repair liver damage caused by the viruses. The treatment also helps enhance
the production of the liver's leukocytes (B cells and T cells) to improve the immune function and clear out the
virus. Levera is also required if the patient has acute liver inflammation. Patients can experience symptom
improvement in 2 weeks. Hepatitis B and C viral counts and liver enzyme activity level (ALT, ALP, and AST)
can be improved in 6 weeks. 3 months of treatment is required to further clear out the virus and achieve
significant improvement and sustained results. Cirrhonin may also be required to resolve the liver fibrosis and
scarring.
4. Alcoholic Liver Disease
Alcohol is catabolized by liver enzymes so that it can be removed from the body. If more alcohol is consumed
than the liver can process, the liver can become injured or seriously damaged. Fatty liver is the earliest stage
of alcohol-related liver disease which progresses to alcoholic hepatitis over time. Symptoms may include loss
of appetite, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, fever, and jaundice. Alcoholic cirrhosis is the most serious
type of alcohol-related liver disease involving replacement of the normal hepatic parenchyma with extensive
thick bands of fibrous tissue and regenerative nodules resulting in portal hypertension and liver failure. Brown,
LC Balancer, and Levera help repair liver damage and clear liver inflammation. Cirrhonin is also required if
the condition has progressed to fibrosis and cirrhosis. Patients can experience symptom improvement with 2
weeks of treatment. Depending on the severity of the condition, 6 weeks to 3 months of treatment is required.
5. Cirrhosis
Cirrhosis is scarring of the liver due to liver damage over many years. The most common causes include
hepatitis B, hepatitis C, fatty liver, chronic alcohol abuse, prescription drugs, prolonged exposure to
environmental toxins, or parasitic infections. The scar tissue blocks blood flow through the liver and
consequently slows the processing of nutrients, hormones, drugs, and naturally produced toxins. Scarring
also slows the production of proteins and other substances made by the liver. Treatment will be the same as
NAFLD which requires Brown, LC Balancer, Levera, and Cirrhonin. Patients can experience symptom
improvement with 2 weeks of treatment. Enzyme activity level (ALT, ALP, and AST) can be improved in 6
weeks. 3 months of treatment is required to have normal liver function with sustained results. For patients
with poor functioning kidneys, treatment should start with 1/3 dose and slowly increase to full dosage to avoid
an overload to the kidneys. It is recommended to have a low maintenance treatment after liver function
becomes normal.
6. High Cholesterol and Hyperlipidemia
Hyperlipidemia mostly refers to a high level of cholesterol (>200 mg/dL) and triglycerides (>200 mg/dL) in the
blood. Although patients are typically asymptomatic. High cholesterol is usually associated with a high level
of LDL (Low Density Lipoprotein) (>130 mg/dL) which carries and delivers cholesterol to the tissues and a low
level of HDL (High Density Lipoprotein) (<40-50 mg/dL) which picks up excess cholesterol in the blood and
arteries and takes it back to the liver. The causes of the condition are stress and/or an increase in the level of
bacterial toxins. Brown, LC Balancer, and Xcel help improve liver and kidney function to help reduce
cholesterol if the condition is caused by stress. Patients can have measureable improvement in 4 weeks. If
the condition is caused by bacterial toxins, other treatment is required to clear the infection and the bacterial
toxins. Depending on the severity of the condition, 6 weeks to 3 months of treatment is required for significant
improvement and sustained results.
7. Type II Diabetes
Type II diabetes is a chronic condition with high blood sugar level caused insulin resistance. Patient’s liver,
muscle and fat cells do not respond to insulin (insulin resistance) to take the sugar into the cell from the
blood due to an increase in cell membrane rigidity. Such increased cell membrane rigidity is associated with
high cholesterol and hyperlipidemia resulting in blockage of the insulin signal transduction pathway. Symptoms
include fatigue, increased hunger and thirst, frequent urination, blurred vision, trouble concentrating, and cuts
that are slow to heal. Brown, LC Balancer and Xcel help nurture the liver and kidney to help improve lipid
metabolism, lower cholesterol and resolve the insulin resistance. Patients can experience less fatigue and
tiredness, an improvement in vision, and a reduction in blood sugar in 3-4 weeks; a decrease in liver enzymes
(AST/SGOT and ATL/SGPT) and lipid levels as well as further improvement in blood sugar levels in 4-6 weeks.
Blood sugar levels should show major improvement in 6-8 weeks. Depending on the severity of the condition,
an additional 2-4 months of treatment is required at a reduced dosage to have sustained results. Patients can
start reducing their insulin when their blood sugar reaches a normal range. Patients with a severe condition
should take LC Balancer 2 times a day instead of 3 times a day to avoid blood sugar spikes. For patients with
a poor functioning pancreas or patients who use high doses of insulin (above 15 units a day), Soup A is
recommended to improve the structure and function of the pancreas in order to assist in insulin production.
Patients with liver or bile duct parasite infections may not respond to the treatment and may experience sugar
spike. Paramin is required to clear the parasite and reduce the blood sugar level. Patients can have a
reduction in blood sugar in 1-2 weeks. 4-6 weeks is required for significant improvement and sustained results.
8. Chronic Infections and Poor Immunity
Infections from pathogenic germs such as viruses, bacteria, and fungi can cause severe stress to the body
and result in reduced blood flow from the hepatic artery to the liver. The liver has a strong innate immune
system, and reduced blood flow can substantially weaken the liver's innate immune function. This
compromises enrichment of innate immune cells such as macrophages, natural killer T cells, and gamma
delta T cells, and the infection gradually becomes chronic. Systemic yeast infection or candidiasis are typical
examples. Symptoms of chronic infections include skin rash, sore throat, fever or chills, swelling of lymph
nodes, and fatigue. Brown, LC Balancer, Qi Booster, and Bitter helps enhance the liver’s innate immune
function and improve immune system ability to clear infections. Patients can experience improvement in 2
weeks. 4-6 weeks of treatment may be required for significant improvement and sustained results.
9. Drug and Cigarette Withdrawal Symptoms
Nicotine, heroin, and cocaine are stimulants that increase the amount of dopamine in the brain’s reward center.
Cocaine, amphetamine, and methamphetamine increase dopamine levels by blocking the uptake of free
dopamine from the synapse. Heroin or opiates increase the dopamine level by reducing GABA, an inhibitory
neurotransmitter. Nicotine mimics other brain neurotransmitters, such as acetylcholine, which stimulates the
release of dopamine. Dopamine plays several important functions in the brain including movement, memory,
behavior, cognition, sleep, mood regulation, and learning. The use of these drugs causes an influx of
excessive stimulants which process high and pleasure. To accommodate this increased influx, the neurons
adopt to reduce its dopamine production. When the effects of the drugs wear off, the person may
experience withdrawal symptoms which can trigger dependence after repeated use. Withdrawal symptoms
are especially common in patients who have a poor liver function, elevated liver enzymes, hepatitis, poor
kidney or adrenal function. They can become drug dependent from just their first exposure to the substances.
Withdrawal symptoms include anxiety, restlessness, irritability, insomnia, headaches, depression, poor
concentration, sweating, nausea and vomiting, fatigue, loss of appetite, muscle tension, difficult breathing,
chest tightness, and tachycardia. Constipation is also common among opioid abusers. Brown, LC Balancer,
and Xcel help improve liver and kidney function and eliminate withdrawal symptoms. Luna is required for
patients with constipation. Hepavin is required to reduce anxiety and the urge to use drugs. Platinum is
required to remove brain heat and reduce muscle tension and headache. Levera is required to reduce liver
inflammation. Patients can experience symptom improvement in 2 weeks. 2-3 months of treatment is required
for significant improvement and sustained results.
10. Psoriasis, Psoriatic Arthritis, and Autoimmune Conditions
Psoriasis is a chronic skin condition characterized by skin redness and irritation which can lead to thick, white,
silvery, or red skin patches. It is a T cell-mediated autoimmune disease. The T cell's activity is controlled by
the suppressor T cells produced in the liver. Liver deficiency can result in poor suppressor T cells causing
hyperactive T cells and subsequently an autoimmune condition. About 30% of psoriasis patients will develop
psoriatic arthritis with symptoms of joint swelling and tenderness. Other types of autoimmune conditions such
as lupus may also involve low suppressor T cells. Brown and LC Balancer nurture the liver and improve
suppressor T cells productions. Patients can experience symptom improvement in 2 weeks. 4-6 weeks of
treatment is required for significant improvement and sustained results.
11. Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a condition involving inflammation and scarring of the protective myelin sheath that
covers the nerves in the central nervous system. The inflammation and scar can cause nerve damage which
disrupts nerve signaling. Symptoms include vision loss, pain, fatigue, and impaired coordination. Patients with
a severe condition may lose the ability to walk or speak. Research has suggested that chronic infections can
be the cause of the condition. Chlamydophila pneumoniae, an obligate intracellular bacterium without a cell
wall that can cause pneumonia, has been isolated from 64% of MS patients' cerebrospinal fluid. Brown, LC
Balancer and Whitee patches help improve liver function to repair the damaged myelin sheath and dissolve
scar tissue. Gold is also required to help further break up scar tissue in the central nervous system. Other
formulas that help clear infections are also required. Patients should experience symptom improvement in 3
weeks. 3-6 months of treatment is required to have significant improvement.
12. Shingles and Post-herpetic Neuralgia
Shingles, also called herpes zoster, is a painful rash caused by varicella-zoster virus infections, the same
virus that causes chickenpox. It most often appears as a single stripe of blisters that wraps around either the
left or the right side of the torso. Brown and LC Balancer help improve the liver and immune function to clear
the infections. Patients should have symptom improvement in 1 to 3 days. 4-6 weeks of treatment is required
for significant improvement and sustained results. Post-herpetic neuralgia is nerve pain due to nerve
damage caused by varicella-zoster virus. It is a persistent pain after the rash and blisters have disappeared
and may last for months or years in some patient. Brown, LC Balancer, and Xcel help improve liver and kidney
function and repair the nerve damage. WHITEE Patch may also be required to speed up the healing. Patients
can experience pain reduction in 2 weeks. 4-6 weeks of treatment is required for significant improvement and
sustained results.
13. Herpes
Herpes is a viral infection by the herpes simplex type 1 (HSV-1) virus or herpes simplex type 2 (HSV-2) virus.
Oral Herpes is an infection of the face or mouth mostly caused by herpes simplex type 1 (HSV-1). Patients
catch the infection when their oral mucosal tissue or abrasion of the mouth comes in contact with the virus.
Symptoms include sores or ulcers in the mouth and lips, blisters or rashes on the face, burning pain and fever.
Brown and LC Balancer help improve the liver and immune function to clear the infections. Patients should
have symptom improvement in 1 to 3 days. 4-6 weeks of treatment is required for significant improvement and
sustained results. Genital Herpes is an STD mostly caused by herpes simplex type 2 (HSV-2) virus.
Symptoms include sores around the genitals or rectum, pain or itching, small red bumps or tiny white
blisters, ulcers when the blisters rupture, and scabs as the ulcers heal. Brown, LC Balancer, Qi Booster, and
Bitter help improve liver and immune function, reduce pro-inflammatory cytokines in the blood, and clear the
infection. Patients should have symptom improvement in 3 to 7 days. 6 weeks to 2 months of treatment is
required for significant improvement and sustained results.
14. Lipoma
A lipoma is a benign tumor composed of adipose tissue (body fat). Lipomas can be a result of a disorder in
lipid metabolism. Brown and LC Balancer help improve liver function and resolve the lipid metabolic disorder.
Tumor size can be reduced significantly in 4 weeks. 6 weeks to 3 months of treatment is required to have
significant improvement. The Gold Patch is also recommended to accelerate the tumor reduction.
15. Lyme Disease
Lyme disease is caused by an infection from a spiral-shaped spirochete bacterium called Borrelia burgodorferi
which is transmitted via tick bites. The infection can cause inflammation and damage to many organs including
the liver and nervous system. Symptoms include fatigue, flu-like symptoms, fever, chills, body pain, and
headache. Symptoms of chronic Lyme disease include rashes in various areas of the body and joint pain and
swelling. Patients can also develop neurological problems due to inflammation of the membranes surrounding
the brain (meningitis), temporary paralysis of one side of the face (Bell's palsy), numbness or weakness in the
limbs, and impaired muscle movement. Coinfection with a virus, other types of bacteria, mycoplasma, fungi,
parasite, and protozoa is very common among Lyme disease patients. Research has found that the majority
of patients with chronic Lyme disease has at least one coinfection, and 30% of patients have two or more
coinfections. Brown and LC Balancer nurture the liver and help repair liver and nerve damage. Other
treatments are also required to help clear the infections.
16. Heavy Metal Toxicity
Heavy metals such as mercury, arsenic, or lead can cause damage to the liver and brain. Mercury blocks the
conversion of important antioxidant molecules (i.e. Vitamin C and Vitamin E) to their reduced forms which are
important antioxidants to help remove reactive oxygen species (ROS). Since oxygen consumption in the brain
and liver is higher compared to other tissues and organs, they are more vulnerable to oxidative damage.
Glutathione is a chelating agent of heavy metals due to its high affinity with heavy metals. It forms a complex
with metals for subsequent sequestration and secretion. Glutathione is also an antioxidant found in all
mammalian tissues and is highly concentrated in the liver. Poor liver function can cause low glutathione levels
resulting in a reduced efficiency in heavy metal secretion. Symptoms of heavy metal toxicity include sensory
impairment (vision, hearing, or speech), lack of coordination, peripheral neuropathy (tingling, itching, burning,
or pain) skin discoloration (pink cheeks, fingertips, and toes), swelling, and shedding or peeling of skin.
Mercury also blocks catecholamine (i.e. epinephrine) catabolism which leads to a high level of catecholamines
causing symptoms of profuse sweating, tachycardia, increased salivation, hypertension, kidney dysfunction
(e.g. Fanconi syndrome), insomnia or neuropsychiatric symptoms such as emotional instability,
or memory impairment. Brown and LC Balancer improve liver function and helps heavy metal detoxification.
Hepavin, Platinum, Xcel, KS, and Levera may also be required to help clear the heavy metals. Patients should
have symptom improvement in 2 weeks. 6 weeks to 3 months of treatment is required for significant
improvement.
17. Menopause Syndrome and Hormonal Imbalance
Menopause occurs when a woman stops having menstrual periods. Many women experience a variety of
symptoms as a result of the hormonal changes associated with the transition to menopause. An imbalance
in estrogen and testosterone levels can cause symptoms including mood swings, trouble sleeping and
focusing, hot flashes, night sweats, and a slowed metabolism. Brown, LC Balancer, and Xcel nurtures the liver
and kidneys to help restore hormone levels. Patients can experience symptom improvement in 1-3 days. 2-6
weeks of treatment is required for significant improvement.
18. Hypothyroidism
Hypothyroidism is a condition with a low level of thyroid hormone produced by when the thyroid gland. It can
be caused by poor liver and kidney function as these two organs are involved in the synthesis of the thyroid
hormone. Symptoms include fatigue, constipation, weight gain, water retention, dry skin, depression, and
sensitivity to cold. Brown, LC Balancer, and Xcel nurture the liver and kidneys, and helps improve the
production of thyroid hormone. Patients can experience symptom improvement in 1 week. 4-6 weeks of
treatment is required to have a significant improvement.
19. Post-stroke Recovery
Ischemic strokes occur when there is a blockage in blood flow to the brain causing brain damage and neuron
death. Acute inflammation due to brain damage can result in scar tissue formation. Depending on the region
of brain damage, symptoms may include weakness, numbness, stiffness and difficulty of movement on one
side of the body. Patients may also have problems with speech, memory, perception, vision, emotions,
urination, and bowel movements. Brown and LC Balancer helps the liver improve the lipid metabolism so that
sufficient phospholipids are available to enhance brain recovery. Xcel improves kidney filtration of waste
molecules. Gold and Qi Booster helps breakup scar tissue in the brain. Patients can experience symptom
improvement in 2 weeks. 6 weeks to 3 months treatment is required to have significant improvement and
sustained results. If patients still have brain inflammation with symptoms of tremors, Platinum and Hepavin
are also required to reduce brain inflammation.
Suggested Dosage: 50mL, 2 times a day; or 3 capsules, 3 times a day
Available Volume: 100mL bottle; or 63 capsules per bottle
Precautions:
1. Brown may cause stomach upset. If the patient has a GI condition such as acid reflux, food allergies, or
poor digestion, 2-3 weeks of GI treatment with SJ, Spring Capsule, and Formula B are required to improve
stomach health.
2. As liver function improves, more metabolic waste is released into the blood which can overload the kidneys.
High amount of metabolic waste can cause symptoms of anxiety, hot sensations, flu-like symptoms. Xcel
is required to help the kidneys effectively secrete those wastes.
3. Brown can cause spleen damp. Patients may experience fatigue, body heaviness, or diarrhea. Treatment
with Java for 1 week is recommended, then resume the treatment with Brown.
