B-3 clears phlegm damp in the brain. It helps improve the solubility of the lymph in the brain for effective lymph drainage and recycling.
The brain glymphatic systems conduct drainage for interstitial fluid (ISF) from brain parenchyma to nearby lymph nodes. Brain lymphatic drainage helps maintain water and ion balance of the ISF, waste clearance, and reabsorption of macromolecular solutes. A second function of the brain glymphatic system includes the communication with the immune system, modulating immune surveillance, and responses of the brain. These physiological functions are influenced by aging, genetics, sleep-wake cycle, and body posture. The impairment of the brain glymphatic system can cause accumulation of waste molecules in the ISF. Some of the waste molecules are less soluble and can cause aggregation when their concentration is too high. These semi-soluble aggregated molecules can’t be drained out by the brain glymphatic system and cause retention of ISF with increased volume. This will increase the pressure to the brain neurons causing symptoms of persistent headache, arm, leg, trunk muscle tightness or spasms. Chronic impairment and dysfunction of the brain glymphatic system caused by the decreased solubility of the brain lymph can also lead to age-related changes of brain function and the pathogenesis of neurological diseases, as well as brain injury and tumors.
B-3 helps break down the aggregation of the waste molecules and increases the solubility of the brain lymph to allow the brain glymphatic system to effectively drain out the waste. Glia is also recommended to increase the efficiency of the glymphatic systems drainage function.
Patients may notice reduction of their symptoms within 3 days. 6-8 weeks of treatment is recommended to have significant improvement.
